The classic Purdey shooting vest has been updated in newly developed technical tweed. The fabric is much lighter than traditionally woven tweed, resulting in a more comfortable garment. Through a combination of yarn twist and the introduction of a very small amount of nylon, it is highly resilient against high levels of abrasion and friction. The tweed has a Teflon® coating which causes water to bead and roll off.
Our shooting vests contain a hidden D3O® absorption pad in the shoulder to reduce recoil when in the field. By using advanced polymer chemistry, D3O® absorbs the energy created by each shot, in turn reducing the amount of force transmitted to your body, while remaining soft and flexible as to not compromise on comfort. The pad is designed to be interchangeable between the left and right shoulder depending on your preferred shooting stance.
Design features include a storm collar, a half-belt with adjustable tab fastening to ensure a perfect fit, and large bellow pockets to hold cartridges. All buttons are horn.
